Day 338: THIS IS HOW WE DO IT (Part 2)
After a long night of staying up late and partying, the thing that most of our crew wanted to do was sleep. But it was prom weekend, and no one goes to sleep then! Regardless of how tired we were, we got right back up on Sunday morning, thanked Mrs. Mary Jane (Logan's Mom) and called our own mothers because it was mother's day! Quickly after it was right back to the party, almost like it never stopped. We headed out to the beach for some fun and water, the perfect duo on a hot sunday. Usually I don't go into thewater, but today I just couldn't resist, it sounded too much fun! A couple of us went swimming and decided to get a littlecrazy once we were out of sight of the house. Nick initiated a trendby taking his pants off and waving them around in the air, and the rest of us just couldn't help but join! Surfside water is super dirty that you can't see through it, so there was nothing to worry about for us girls! When we all decided to put our pants back on however; there was a small mishap. Jake lost his pants! I guess a wave took them away and he couldn't get a grip on them, because now they are lost forever! He had to take the walk of shame back to the house in just his boxers, poor Jake. Not
gonna lie though - it was hilarious.
When we got back to the house, Jake put on some clothes and the partying commenced! We brought the speakers inside the house and played "This is How We Do it!" about ten thousand times, no lie. We made videos in a canoe, in the bed, in diapers, you name it. "This is HowWe Do it" was now the official song of the weekend, and we were makingmusic videos for it! Mark even drew pictures of Montell Jordan on peoples bodies in spirit of the song. We literally made videos until the sun went down, when we were all finally becoming a little beat.
Things were beginning to wind down and it seemed like it was going to be a pretty chill, country music kind of night. Around 9 o'clock, those thoughts vanished when Mariah Bryan and her entire house came over for the night to crank up the party! An additional twenty or so people came to hang with us, so we definitely had to get up off our butts and show them a good time! We played "This is How We Do it" about a thousand more times before Mary Jane came in and wanted to tear the speaker apart, you could definitely say we were getting on her nerves! We couldn't help ourselves though, it was too much fun! Late at night, we still couldn't stop dancing - even when Mary Jane took the music away. Barrett Gregorek even put a lampshade on his head and was throwing butter at everyone, we couldn't help but crack up! It was another night that we stayed up until the late hours bouncing off the walls and jumping on the bed, because well; that's how we do it!
