Day 300: Most Creative Question

Lately everyone's been stressing out about prom. Whether it's hanging out at the beach house afterwards, which people are in which group, or who's going with who, prom has just been a big mess of confusion. The boys have really waited this year to ask the girls, so we've been freaking out a little! It's almost only a month left until the big day, so planning keeps coming more and more down to the wire. After so many people continuously asking me, "who are you going to prom with?" I finally stopped answering. I had options, but no boys had manned up yet and popped the question! Finally, today those questions were put to rest. I have seventh period with Mark and Erin, and today we were having our last quiz today over Alas Babylon. Mrs. Field passed out the quizzed and told us that there was an extra question that wasn't printed on the quiz, so she was going to put it on the board for us to copy down. I started taking my quiz and had answered a couple of questions when I heard Mark say, "Man, that's a difficult question." Instinctively I looked up at the board and read, "In chapter 13, will Brittany Muller go to prom with Mark Agatep?" I immediately clasped my hand over my mouth in awe as everyone started to laugh. Seeing they were waiting for my answer, I finally said, "yes!" It maybe have taken Mark a little while to ask, but it was worth the wait. He definitely wasn't voted Most Creative for nothing!

Day 299: Commander Baker!

Today was Austin High School's annual Commander Baker charity softball game! Every year, the school raises money for students and teachers play against each other and donate the money for scholarships and a charity of the student's choice. This tradition started in 2002, in order to honor the fallen ones in our country. It was fueled by the tragedy of September 11th, and the shortly there-after loss of our very own JROTC Commander Joe Baker. 2011 was the 10-year anniversary of our game, so it had to be a big one! Before the game, there's a midway filled with games like the dunking booth, pie-a-teacher-in-the-face, and even a piƱata stand! The game itself was a little lame, it was the first time in history that the teachers and the students tied... what is that! Usually we play extra innings, but I guess the teachers just weren't up to it this year, they know they were gonna lose! Cale was the announcer of the game, and he spiced things up by getting the crowd's attention and asking his girlfriend Victoria to prom, so cute! She's not one for loving the spotlight, but she definitely felt like one special girl :)

Day 298: Messy, Messy, Messy

Ever since I've come back from Destin for Spring Break... my room has been a mess. Suitcase still on the floor, clean clothes that I didn't wear sprawled out everywhere, dirty clothes that I did wear sprawled out everywhere... needless to say it's not a pretty sight. I can't remember the last time I made my bed, all my schoolwork is on it! My room became so messy in fact that some days, there's too much going on in my room that I get flustered and just decided to sleep in Diane's room in her bed. My mom has been on my butt for a while now to get it cleaned, but there's just so much stuff that I don't even know where to start! It's a danger zone, and I think if I tried to clean... I'd get lost and stuck in my pile of clothes and never be able to escape! Well, today was the day that all changed. I actually can see my floor now! It's a miracle! Hopefully I never get my room that messy again, it took the whole day to clean and it was just too scary!

Day 297: Fish Fail.

Everyone knows the Houston Rodeo is longer in town, but there's no time limit on rodeo season! Tonight at Young Life we had a semi-rodeo-themed club, with some games that got... a little too crazy. I think that when John planned them out in his head, it looked like it was going to go over pretty well. But once the game started, everything was just a fail. The point of the game was this: there were two cowgirls and two "bucking broncos". Each of us girls had to ride our Bronco while - get this - jousting. And ot just any normal kind of sword or spear jousting, FISH jousting. Each of the boys had a pair of pantyhose on their head, holding an egg in place on their forehead, while the girls tried to crack the egg by smacking the boys in the face with our fish. It was probably the most disgusting game ever, and it definitely didn't work. My "horse" (Tyler Hopson) wound up jumping around so much trying to avoid getting fish-slapped, that I accidentally slapped the other GIRL in the face with my fish... yikes. The fish smelled disgusting, the eggs wouldn't crack, and on top of it all, the fish started to bleed everywhere. I'm pretty confident when I say that I don't think Young Life will ever try to fish joust again.

Day 296: What's Your Flavor?

I can now officially say... SNOW CONE SEASON HAS BEGUN! Last time I went to the Chill Out snow cone stand, it was in the summer after playing frisbee golf with some younglife kids (when Tori got hit in the head with a metal frisbee... hilarious!) Today after spending our morning cleaning (well... Erin cleaned her room while I slept, hahaha), watching tv, and just being the lazy bums we usually are, we decided to get up and do something. Getting snow cones we thought was the best idea we've had in a long time! Erin always gets "Thug Passion", which I think has the funniest name on the menu, and I always get "Pink Lemonade". I could serious eat these snow cones for the rest of my life, they are delicious no matter what flavor you pick! I kind of look tired in this picture... not my best. Maybe I was just so lost in the sugary goodness of the snow cones, I thought I was dreaming!

Day 295: Mini-Mathletes

The entire year, Mu Alpha Theta is focused on one single event - Mini Mathletes. It's a day where a bunch of fourth and fifth graders from all elementary school in the area come to Austin High School to basically have a day camp about math. This year, I volunteer my time as a chaperone, something I've never done before. I was a little nervous not knowing what to do for the nine hours I was supposed to have the kids, because that's a long time! It turned out, Isabelle Seto and her group were with me the entire day, so we ultimately just combined our groups into a super-group, and it was so much fun! We had three girls who were as sweet as could be, and three little boys who loved to wreak havoc! The boys were pretty fun, but they sure were a handful! I swear, I couldn't turn around for a second without one of them going off on their own and causing some trouble! We all made a giant paper airplane, cracked some jokes, and talked about all the things they were interested in - including Club Penguin. At the end of the day, one of Isabelle and I's boys won a math award, he even got to go up to the stage and accept a medal! We felt like proud parents clapping in our auditorium seats! The day was long, crazy, and filled with math... but it was totally worth it! No matter how troublesome they might have been, I think the kids in my group were the best kids I could've gotten!

Day 294: Senior Pictures!

Tonight I had an event that I had been anticipating for a long time, Senior Pictures! Okay, it seems a little silly that I would be so pumped about something like this, but I was seriously excited! I mean, who doesn't want somebody to take pretty pictures of them, it's so much fun! Meyer & Maples took my pictures, and they were so amazing to work with - I highly suggest them! ;) Jackie Maples was my photographer of the night, and she was so silly and so much fun! She and my mom tried to keep my smiling and laughing, which sometimes got a little embarrassing. Jackie brought her son - Mitch - along to help, and I'm pretty sure he busted out laughing when my mom tried to imitate the song "Friday" by Rebecca Black. She said thursday was the day after friday... what an amateur! Throughout the night, the wind was blowing and some cows were blocking some of our prime picture spots, but we seemed to manage and the pictures turned out amazing! I've only seen a few so far, but I can't wait to see the rest of them :) Senior pictures are just another milestone achieved in my soon-to-be-over wild ride of senior year!

Day 293: Letters From God

Tonight I went with my dad to the Chapel of Divine Mercy at St. Laurence. It's a twenty four hour chapel where people can go and pray whenever they feel they need a little bit of peace of mind. I've never been here before, but tonight I felt that I really needed to lift up all the worry and stress that has been filling my life lately. I know he's there to hear my troubles, and I was willing and eager to listen.

"My Child...
You may not know me,
but I know everything about you…
I know when you sit down and when you rise up…
I am familiar with all your ways … Even the very hairs on your head are numbered…
For you were made in my image… In me you live and move and have your being… For youare my offspring… I knew you even before you were conceived... I chose you when I
planned creation…You were not a mistake… For all your days are written in my book… I determined the exact time of your birth and where you would live… You are fearfully
and wonderfully made…I knit you together in your mother's womb… And brought you
forth on the day you were born … I have been misrepresented by those who don't know me…
I am not distant and angry, but am the complete expression of love… And it is my desire to lavish
my love on you...Simply because you are my child and I am your Father…I offer you more
than your earthly father ever could…For I am the perfect Father… Every good gift that youreceive comes from my hand... For I am your provider and I meet all your needs…
My plan for your future has always been filled with hope… Because I love you with an everlastinglove… My thoughts toward you are countless as the sand on the seashore… And I rejoice
over you with singing… I will never stop doing good to you… For you are my treasured
possession… I desire to establish you with all my heart and all my soul… And I want to
show you great and marvelous things…If you seek me with all your heart, you will find me… Delight in me and I will give you the desires of your heart … For it is I who gave you
those desires… I am able to do more for you than you could possibly imagine… For I am
your greatest encourager.…I am also the Father who comforts you in all your troubles… When you are brokenhearted, I am close to you… As a shepherd carries a lamb, I have
carried you close to my heart… One day I will wipe away every tear from your eyes…
And I'll take away all the pain you have suffered on this earth… I am your Father and I love you
even as I love my son, Jesus… For in Jesus my love for you is revealed … He is the exact
representation of my being… And He came to demonstrate that I am for you, not against you.… And to tell you that I am not counting your sins… Jesus died so that you and I
could be reconciled… His death was the ultimate expression of my love for you…
I gave up everything I loved that I might gain your love…If you receive the gift of my son Jesus,
you receive me… And nothing will ever separate you from my love again…Come home and
I'll throw the biggest party heaven has ever seen… I have always been Father and will always be Father… My question is...Will you be my child?… I am waiting for you…...
Love, Your Dad"

Day 292: THE DRESS!

After visiting a million stores, trying on a billion dresses, and looking at a trillion websites, I finally found it. I found my perfect prom dress! I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, and excatly what I didn't want. I knew that I really wanted a blue dress, with a sexy slit. Some things I defintely didn't want were too much beading, plain dresses, and most of all... prints. When I first started looking, I refused to try on anything I thought didn't fit my perfect idea. However, my mom always told me that even if you think a dress is ugly on the rack, try it on anyway because you never know what it's gonna look like on. Thank goodness for her adivce, or else I would have never found the one! Throughout my many trials and errors, I finally found that even the dresses you think you don't want could wind up being the perfect fit! I'm not going to put up a picture of it, I want it to be a surprise for everyone on prom day. Every time I look at this dress though, I fall more and more in love with it. I know I'm going to feel like a pretty princess on prom night! All the other dresses were okay, but this one just blew me away!

Day 291: Killer Comet

Have you ever had to tutor a kid with A.D.D., A.D.H.D., and O.C.D.? I HAVE. Today after school I went to COMET for the first time this year, a tutoring volunteer opportunity at Sartartia Middle School. The class is after middle school gets out, and it meant to be a place for kids to have the chance catch up on work they missed if they missed school, or maybe get some extra help on some work they don't understand. What it's turned into... is not so . The majority of the kids at COMET stay after school because they're falling behind in class, refuse to do their homework, or have to retake a test or quiz they failed. The kids are rude, rowdy, and annoyingly disrespectful. The boy that I tried (I emphasize tried) to tutor today just couldn't stop talking. It started with him insulting his desk partner, after which I had to move him to his own table, and ended with him constantly quoting charlie the unicorn. This kid was just unwilling to work, and Sartartia needs to get a grip on their discipline system. I don't think I could've survived the Killer Comet without Kaitlyn and Robby!

Day 290: Coach Byrd's Only Friend

Going back to school after spring break ends is just not fun, not fun at all. I wanted to be where there was sand, sun, and water... but instead I was surrounded by desks, cinderblocks, and lockers. The only thing that interested me today at school was in Coach Byrd's room (which never happens). Usually I can't wait to get out of that class, it's usually so stupid and boring. But today was pretty fun! Not due to learning about economics, however, that's for sure! Coach Byrd's room is filled with random stuff everywhere, I swear you could play "I Spy" in there for hours. Today something extra was added to the classroom... a lizard! A little green one was just roaming around the room during his lecture, it was hilarious! It was a little too distracting, nobody listened to what Byrd was saying, so he eventually gave up. Thanks to the little green guy, I finally had something to pay attention to in economics!

Day 289: Jason Aldean!

Tonight was the last night of the Houston Rodeo... the big finale. Usually Houston saves the best performer for last, and they didn't let down the tradition this year... it was Jason Aldean! I have no idea how my family got tickets, but all five of us got to slip on our boots and head down to the Reliant! We all got ready separately, but after we all came down and ready, everyone except for my dad has something redish on! We looked like we all planned on matching, what a bunch of weirdos! Now one thing I absolutely can not turn down at the Rodeo is the food. It's a love/hate relationship... so good and so bad for you (not to mention expensive)! None of us could resist, it's just so darn tasty! After Stuffing our faces, checking out the rodeo winners, and looking through all the shops... we were ready. We couldn't wait anymore! We all headed up to the building, found our seats, and sat back to watch the show! He started off with, "Tattoos on this Town", and it was settled for me, this was going to be the best show ever! I'm glad Houston decided to close with him and he decided to close his tour with Houston, it was fate that we all came to see him. Thanks to Jason, I really feel like I'm in a Crazytown chillin' on a Dirt Road where the Days Like These - they go by way too fast. <3

Day 288: Family Reunion

Spring break last year for Steffi and I was pretty crazy. We and all of our friends went pretty crazy and we definitely had the time of our lives. This year, we toned down a little bit, but I'm still happy I got to see my "family"! Will (Steffi's boyfriend) came down to visit for the weekend before they have to go back to TCU, so she decided that there was one destination that he MUST visit while he's here. The beach! (I'm telling you, the beach is the place to be). Sadly, today there was not as much fun in the sun as yesterday. In fact, there was no sun at all! It was humid, windy, and downright cold! Kelsey and I got there before anyone else, so we decided to have a quick snack at Fish Tales :) After everyone got there, we froze for a little bit, then quickly came to a consensus that it was time to get off the beach, it was way too cold! We all went to Fisherman's Wharf to meet up with Steffi's parents to eat some dinner in a room looking over the bay. It was beautiful! I got a little annoyed at the boys though... they stole my phone and were just being mischievous brothers the entire dinner! After dinner, we returned back to Steffi's house to have some quality family bonding time. We talked about old Disney channel movies, quoted spongebob, and just laughed for hours. My time with these amazing people is limited, and I love every minute of it!

Day 287: "Presh Pic."

Finally after wanting and waiting to go for ages, my friends and I finally got together for a 2011 beach trip! Every single time this year that people have asked me, "what are we going to do this weekend?", I've replied "let's go to Galveston!" Since it's been pretty chilly throughout most of the year, everyone tells me that I'm crazy. To be honest though, I don't care what time of year or what weather it is... I love the beach! This morning a big group of us met up at Randall's and headed out for what was bound to be a crazy adventure... and we were not let down! There was music blastin' out the speakers, jumping in the waves, and... getting keys locked in the car. The story is... I didn't want anyone in my car to have to take their keys or phone or anything else and get it all sandy, so I left the doors unlocked all day. I didn't open any doors though, it would drain the battery! It worked out perfectly up until unfortunately... someone locked and shut all the doors. I don't know how it happened or how they came, but two random guys from down the beach thankfully came to the rescue - which took an hour! It was a pretty hectic day, and I don't know if I'd drive to the beach again for a while... but I'd say Beach Trip 2011 #1 was a success!

Day 286: The Stinky Stop

After our days of sunbathing, getting sunburned and sandy, and shopping till we drop, it was sadly time for the Muller girls to return to Texas. The beach was just too beautiful to want to leave, we really could have made our new home on the beach for the rest of our lives. It goes without saying, hitting the road was pretty depressing after our amazing week in paradise. On the road, we decided that we were going to try and make the least number of stops possible (unlike the trip there). Well, things don't always go as planned. We made a stop to each lunch, a stop to at academy, and of course a countless number of bathroom breaks! One stop was definitely the most memorable... that's for sure. When Diane has drank too much water, we pulled over at a Louisiana gas station. When Diane ran straight for the bathroom... something blew us back. I seriously don't think I've ever smelt a worse smell than the one that was emanating from that bathroom. A little girl had missed the seat when she went to the bathroom, let's just say it wasn't pretty. Ever try going to the bathroom with only one hand because the other is plugging your nose? It's pretty difficult! Even though it was a pretty nasty stop, It's definitely a memorable one!

Day 285: Shopping Near the Sea

After only a couple days of Vacation, the grandparents unfortunately had to put an end to their vacation and get back to work. :( We were all sad that they had to leave us, my grandparents know how to party! They left us pretty early in the morning, so without them, we had another all girls day... perfect for shopping! Diane, my mom, and I did some serious damage on the Destin shopping scene. Well, not so much stuff was actually bought, but we spent pretty much all our day checkin out the stores! I swear there's more shopping centers in Destin than there are stores in the First Colony Mall, it's crazy. Shopaholic's like us just can't turn down an opportunity like this, I mean come on... let's be real. When it was time for dinner, we decided to quickly scarf up some leftovers so that we could go out again and (you guessed it) shop! We had one more area to check out, so how could we resist! It turned out to be a gold mine! Filled with adorable places like an ice cream shop called "Sugar Land"! Something sweet to remind us of home on our last day out really hit the spot.

Day 284: The New Condo

Tonight my grandparents Grammy and Pop took Diane, my mother, and I to see their new Condo! It's located at a place called the Sanctuary at Redfish, which is crazy awesome. It sits on a lagoon, the same lagoon that Mike Huckabee, a potential Rebublican candidate for the 2008 presidential election, is building his new house (which is ridiculously massive). The new condo is pretty crazy itself! Two stories, four bedrooms, two balconies, four bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen! It could seriously be a house, and I would not mind moving in! It was definitely the prettiest townhome/condo/home I had ever seen - it was even better decorated than my house! After seeing the new place, we went down to check out the new beach. Once we were a couple hundred feet away, Grammy and Pop's puppies knew where we were going. They took off at a million miles an hour running down the beach, it was seriously the cutest thing ever! Those puppies are from Georgia, but I think they were meant for Florida. They sure loved that beach! We also got to tour around the Seaside area a bit, where we randomly saw Cale's parents - so crazy! Seaside and all of it's little shops were beautiful, definitely a fun place to bring the family :)

Day 283: Emily!

Tonight was the finale episode for the reality TV show, The Bachelor! This year was one of the most special Bachelor seasons ever - Brad Womack was coming back for another try! In 2007, the first time Brad has a round on the show, he wound up being the first Bachelor in the history to reject every single woman on the show. Needless to say, his return was a twist! On the first episode of every season, I always pick out who my favorite is going to be. This season it was Ashley S., the sweet southern girl from North Carolina. Sadly she didn't end up winning, but that didn't discourage me from watching the show! Whether it's been in Las Vegas, Anguilla, or South Africa, throughout the entire season it's been pretty evident who Brad has been wanting to pick... Emily. She's been harmless and beautiful since day one, how could you not love her? Emily without a doubt has the saddest story I've ever seen on the Bachelor. When she was 18, she was engaged to her high school sweetheart, Ricky. He was a racecar driver, and he took a plane one weekend to go to a race, but suggested that Emily stay home. The plane never touched down, it crashed and none of the passengers survived. Heartbroken, Emily was pretty depressed. That Friday however, she found out that she was pregnant, and now she has a five-year-old daughter whom Emily named after her late daddy, Ricky. Emily's been through a lot, so hopefully they stay happy! Emily and Brad deserve to be in love!

Day 282: Fun in the Sun

The first day in Destin was spent doing the most important thing to do while at the beach... tanning! My grandparents aren't coming until tomorrow, so Diane, my mom, and I spent the day just hanging out by the beach. We treated ourselves to sleeping in late, laid out all day long, and just relaxed. Basking in the Destin sun is a real-life paradise, I wish that I could live there for the rest of my life! Destin is seriously the place to be when it's sunny - it's much, much, MUCH prettier than Galveston... Too bad it isn't close to home! After a couple hours of getting a little burnt, we decided it was time to head in. We spruced ourselves up a bit and decided to grab some dinner at a crazy, artsy restaurant called "Graffiti". They had paintings covering the walls, a chandelier made out of rainbow water bottles, and much more! We picked up some famous gelato afterwards, and got to watch some kids do a green screen performance of "Baby Got Back" by Sir-Mix-Alot in the middle of the shopping center. A relaxed day transformed into one crazy night!

Day 281: Road Trip!

This morning my mother, sister, and I got up and left on our road trip to Destin! Once the clock struck 11, we finally piled all of our bags into the car and hit the road! As guilty as I feel saying this, road trips without the entire family are so much better! Well, not better, but the car ride is SO much less painful. Usually, I'm the kid that winds up having to share a seat with someone. This time, I finally got my own row! I definitely took advantage of it and laid down and slept the entire way to the LSU campus - 5 hours with all the traffic we had! We stopped in LSU to meet up with Sarah and Donna for a little bit to hang out and catch up. They couldn't talk for long because Sarah had to get ready for her formal! Before leaving the campus though, Diane, my mom, and I stopped for lunch at a local favorite - Serrano's. They make probably one of the tastiest sandwiches I've ever had! Quickly after eating, we got back in the car and were on the road again. After way too many hours spent driving, we finally got Florida. The drive was pretty stressful with three girls in one car, but it was worth it!

Day 280: Lady A with the Ladies

Today is the friday before spring break, who could really ask for a better day than this! For weeks now, the girls have been planning to go to the rodeo to see Lady Antebellum, and the show is tonight! After school, we got all dressed up and went out for an early dinner at Chili's to make sure that we stocked up on food. We didn't want to waste our money on expensive rodeo food, it's too expensive! After eating, we all decided to get some energy drinks. Instead of getting Red Bulls, Savannah and I decided to get Five Hour Energies. That was probably one of the best decisions I could have made, because it got me so hyped up! By the time we got to the rodeo, I was bouncing off the car walls, ready for some country music! We jay-walked and crossed parking lots, and trekked about a mile before getting to the stadium, but we finally made it! When Lady A started singing "I Run to You", I knew it was going to be a great night! Lady Antebellum was an amazing show, and I would see them again in a heart beat. Girls nights are the best ways to bond with your friends. I love my girls and I am so blessed to have amazing people like them in my life. Like I said before, I believe that Lady Antebellum's lyrics of their song, "Never Alone", are true in my own heart. I know that I've found friends worth havin' and every year passin' they're gonna mean more than gold.

Day 279: Missin' Out

Today Cale offered me a free ticket to go with him, Victoria, and Logan to the Rodeo to see Rascal Flatts! Free tickets to the rodeo don't come very often, so I was definitely down to go. I was pretty excited the entire day, I mean who wouldn't be excited about going to the rodeo? It's the best part about Houston during the spring break time! Unfortunately, a halt came to my plan. After picking up the Commander Baker Scholarship form today, I realized that the entire packet was due tomorrow, essay included. I have always wanted to apply for this scholarship, regardless if I win or not. I knew that I had to make a tough decision and stay back from the show to work on my essay, even if I had free tickets. While I got picture updates from Victoria, I sat at home and worked on my essay. Rascal Flatts will come around again, but I'll never have this scholarship opportunity again, I've got to take advantage while I have it! Definitely not the way I wanted to spend my night, but I'm proud that I was able to prioritize.

Day 278: Ashy

When people think of the word "ashy" these days, they think of skin. Ashy legs, elbows, "does anybody have any lotion?" Ashy has an ugly connotation. When someone says, "I'm ashy," you immediately look down to stare at their legs because you know that they're going to look scaly. However, people forget that ash isn't always bad. Now I know Ash Wednesday isn't for many people besides catholics, but it truly brings out a whole different side to ash. It's beautiful and a way to honor everything we believe it. After Ash Wednesday service today, my mother and I walked around the mall for a couple hours, without washing our foreheads. We got plenty of stares and questions, but it didn't bother me a bit. Honoring Jesus' walk is what Lent is all about, and if wearing Ash on my forehead can help spread the word, than so be it. I don't need and lotion for my forehead today, I'm proud to be ashy!

Day 277: Fast Food and Baseball Boys

Lent starts tomorrow and I'm giving up fast food. It's probably going to be one of the most difficult things ever, due to the fact that I have a Chick-fil-A trip scheduled for every friday! I don't know how I'm going to do it... but I know if I'm going to want to eat healthier, this is my first step to success! No more fast food for me for 40 days, so I definitely spoiled myself today for my last fast food meal - a Whataburger barbeque chicken strip sandwich. A classic, and a definitely tasty last supper!
Tonight I went to my first Austin High School Baseball game since sophomore year! I've always had friends that were on the team, but I guess I just haven't ever really been a huge supporter. Baseball is honestly kind of boring to me, but somehow Erin convinced me to go tonight. Thankfully she did because the game was killer! In the bottom of the last inning, we were down by two and had two outs, and one runner on base. Brandon Guillen went up to hit and got two strikes. It looked like the bulldogs were going to lose, and I told myself that if the boys were gonna win it was now or never. Just as I said that, Brandon hits a home run, tying the game and sending it into overtime! I was truly amazed and excited for the boys, I had come to the right game! As the game progressed, the boys eventually got into TRIPLE overtime. They lost at the very last second, but I was still so proud of them! It may have been the only game I've seen this year but darn it, it was the best game I've seen!

Day 276: Kindergarden Comrades

First things' first, today was one of my very best friend's birthdays, Steffi Cenkus! Steffi has been my neighbor for about twelve years now, so you can definitely say it's been a while since we've known each other. She turned twenty today, two decades old! I can't believe how old all of my friends are becoming, it a little scary! My neighbor sis definitely deserves a shout out for the day, so I hope she has the best birthday ever, and has the chance to celebrate it without stressing herself out!
Tonight was a crazy event. At younglife, I was talking to one of the boys I know from Kempner named Nathan de Jesus, and I found out something insane. He told me that he recognized Erin from kindergarden (I mean come one, she still looks the same, doesn't she!) and I was blown away. I was in Erin's kindergarden class. I asked him, "Mrs. Falleroni's class, A.M, because she only had one class?" And he said yes! Earlier this year, Madison Lemen posted a picture of our kindergarden class and there was a guy front and center sitting next to Erin that we didn't recognize. After pulling it up tonight, we realized it was Nathan! Ironically, Erin, Nathan, and I were all sitting in a line of the bottom row of the picture! After all these years, Mrs. Falleroni's class... reunited!

Day 275: Life and Love

This life is what you make it. Not matter what, you’re going to mess up sometimes, it’s a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you’re going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they’ll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they’re your true best friends. Don’t let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they’ll come and go too. And babe, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can’t give up because if you give up, you’ll never find your soul mate. You’ll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn’t mean you’re gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don’t, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and there’s so much to smile about.

Day 274: Giant Balls?

Today my sister was returning to College Station to go back home, so of course she asked my mom to go shopping with her before going home! I feel like it's a new sunday tradition for the days that Diane is leaving, we always go shopping! The Muller girls just can't get enough of shopping! We went to Katy Mills, which has a few interesting things in it! There was a giant pool filled with human-sized hampster balls in it sitting in the middle of the food court, it was hilarious! It was a little awkward watching the kids run and fall in the balls, they really looked like giant clumsy hampsters! It's a good thing we went to Katy Mills too, because my mom and I got to peek inside of Windsor before leaving for prom dresses. The date keeps getting closer, and I still have yet to find "the dress". Windsor still wasn't the place to find it, but at least we got one more store knocked off the list! At the end of the day, the dress was yet to be found, but we still got our retail therapy in!

Day 273: More and More Bulldog Bucks

Nowadays, I feel like all of my Friday afternoons consist of working. Okay, not working for real bucks, but for bulldog bucks! The girls and I are probably some of the only kids actually helping out with the ProGrad garage sale, I swear I'm working on this project all the time! Today we handed out flyers to probably 300 houses, it was crazy! It took a while too, we worked all the way until it was dark! We tried running, driving, and anything else to go quickly, we wanted to beat the sun. Having to work in the dark just isn't as fun. Hopefully we all get a million points for all of our work, we are definitely the faces of this project. I'm sure all our hard work will pay off in the end, and the final sale will be a huge success!
