Day 365: THE DAY.

Today I woke up at the crack of dawn... 6:30 a.m.! That is way to early for me, but today I had no choice, it was the best day of my life... graduation! Since our graduation ceremony was at 9 in the morning, all the students had to be there at 8 o'clock, hence the early wake up. With my favorite shoes on and my best friend Erin by my side, I headed off to the Toyota Center with my mother and the Cassani girls! Upon arrival, we met up with some of our best girl and guy friends to snap some pics and then quickly ran in before the ceremony started! I wound up sitting next to Andrea Miller and Eric Nguyen, two of the funniest AP kids I know. We couldn't stop cracking jokes, screaming, and laughing the entire time - graduation was just too crazy! Sitting in my seat staring at the camera in my face was all too real... after four years I was actually at my own graduation! Walking the stage happened much faster than I thought it would. When I used to picture graduation, I imagined my life seeming to go in slow motion, all of my high school life flashing before my eyes. Rather than that, the entire ceremony happened quicker than I could blink. It only seemed about ten minutes until I was tossing my cap in the air celebrating my now official adulthood! After walking out of the building, I made sure to catch up with my besties and find our parents for the traditional post-graduation photoshoot! All dressed up in our fancy dresses and hot shoes, my friends and I definitely caught some precious moments. Post-grad pictures are one of my favorite things to look at every year, and to finally have my own was so amazing! After taking a couple shots, everybody split up to go out to eat with their families, including me! My familia hit up Corner Bakery, one of the most delicious cafes that I've ever eaten at! We didn't have too much time to stay long however, because we needed a power nap before the evening came... when it was time to party!

Erin and I were having a joint graduation party, and twice the graduates means twice the number of attendees! Our food was all homemade by our parents, and all of the decorations (including our fabulous tank tops) were made by Erin and myself! We invited almost 200 of our closest friends and when the party started at 5, we were ready to get wild! The cassani's house was FILLED with kids, teens, and adults, all there to support Erin and I - needless to say we felt very special! The guests got to view our shrine, watch a slideshow of our lives, sign our graduation pictures, and feel the love that Erin and I had for every single one of them! Whether it was family, friends, or somewhat strangers, everyone attending our party played a part in making our day special, and I am so thankful and blessed to have so many amazing people in my life to love and support me in my life journey.
After a couple of hours and before all the guests were even gone, Erin and I had to leave our own party to go to our next big event... PROGRAD! The senior event that we had been waiting for all year (besides graduation itself!) was finally here, and we couldn't wait to get inside and experience it! My friends and I gathered around the door yelling for half an hour to be let in, before the doors finally opened and the craziness began! I ran straight to the spin-and-win, a game that consumed most of my night. It was a guaranteed win game, and every time I won something amazing! I wound up coming home with a coffee machine, toaster oven, floor lamp, cooler, and much more... definitely my favorite game! There were giant inflatable games, a prize walk, a silent auction, giant tricycles, a photo booth, free henna tattoos... more things to do than I could have ever imagined! For five straight hours, I ran wild around the cafeteria having the most fun I could possibly have - and made sure to let everyone know that I was having the time of my life! At three in the morning, all the games were shut down and the craziness was herded into the auditorium for the biggest part of the night... the hypnotism show! Being hypnotized during prograd was something that I had been wanting to do for a long time, so you can bet that I was the first one up on the stage when they called for volunteers! I sat next to one of my best friends Kaitlyn Engle and fell into a world of extreme calmness. I missed out on watching the show and getting to laugh along with my friends in the audience, but I got to be one of the comedians they were laughing at! My fellow contestants and I were told to answer phones in our shoes, picture the audience naked, and even pretend we were watching emotional movies - that one made me burst into real tears! Getting hypnotized was an experience unlike any other, and I would do it again in a heartbeat! After finally "waking up" from our daze, it was sadly the end of prograd, and time for everyone to leave and go home. It was four in the morning so I was in no condition to protest sleep. It had been a long day, but it had easily been the best day of my life. There is no other way that I would have loved to spend my entire last day of childhood than acting like the kid I truly am with the people I grew up with.

This day may mark the end of my blog, the end of high school, and the end of being a kid, but I will always remember my senior year, by far the best year of my entire life. Although my high school chapter has ended, my college chapter is about to begin. After all the crazy times, fun times, and even hard times I've had throughout the year, I wouldn't go back and change a thing. So long high school, and hello world!

Day 364: The Night Before Life Goes On

Today was a day FULL of things to do. As Victoria put it, "I feel like I have a to-do list that never gets any smaller!" I woke up early today to head on over to the Cassani's and start setting up for Erin and I's graduation party tomorrow, the day has already come! We spent quite a bit setting up our "shrine", and in the end I think we did pretty darn good! After coming home, I had to make sure that I set apart time for one of the things on my to-do list I've been putting off the most... my Math Placement Exam. Every student attending a Texas University has to take one, and they've given us ample time to complete it. I have never really been in the mood to take mine, but it's due before I got to my New Student Conference (next week), so I definitely had to do it A.S.A.P.! Little did I know that it was going to be the craziest test of my life, and it took two hours to study and take it! In the end, it was worth it because I got 30 out of 33 right - good enough to enter a Calc 1 course! But let's be real... today was not entirely focused on math, nor did I want it to be! After getting my test and some errands done, I headed over to Mariah and Kendall's graduation party! It was all the way in Pecan Grove, but it proved worth the drive because the crawfish were amazing (not to mention, the people there were too)! It was full of food, fun, friends, family... what more could you ask for?

Day 363: "BEACH TRIP LAST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL!"

Today was the VERY LAST day of highschool EVER! I can't believe it's already here... wow. Today would have been a very emotional day had it not been for one thing... the beach! Surfside allowed all of us seniors to put away the sadness of separating and just celebrate being together for one final school day! I drove up with my girls, dancing to some crazy music and getting pumped up for our very last high school beach trip... every other trip will be a "graduate" or a "college" trip... it's so crazy! We were all expecting the best trip of our lives... but boy were we surprised by what was waiting for us at the beach. Because of the recent weather change, the coast has had an influx of mosquitoes, and they were there waiting for us! There was a wall of mosquitoes in between us on the dunes and the water, you had to sprint through if you wanted to get in the water! To top it all off, there was a shark attack there earlier in the week, so it was a pretty dangerous trip - with inevitable bites! Thankfully, no one was bit by a shark, and we didn't let the bugs bother us... we still made it one of the best trips ever! Sometimes, you just gotta roll with the punches and make the best of what you've got, after all... it was the last day of high school!

Day 362: I Survived

Today was the second to last day of high school ever! Now usually on the last day of school, it's been a tradition to swim at Savannah's house; we've done it for the past couple of years. However; we all have plans tomorrow for the last day, so we had to make the swim party today! Of course we had to somewhat follow the tradition senior year, what else! As usual, it started off with mostly girls. Guys are usually busy after school doing their "manly" things, too busy to hang out with the ladies... so they always show up "fashionably late". The girls don't ever mind, we have more important things to do like tan and talk about the guys while they aren't there ;) I honestly can't believe that this is the last time all of us will have an "after school hang out", let alone a school night! College has crept up on us faster than I could even imagine it would, and I honestly don't know where the time has gone. All I can say is that after all of these years, I am going to miss this high school life. I'll miss my friends, living with my family, seeing all these familiar faces everyday. Whether I like it or not... I'm growing up!

Day 361: Flashback

Today and tonight, most of my time was consisted on flashbacks. First it was videos; looking through and uploading old tapes to my computer for my dad's football project was the main idea, but I stumbled into a few random shots along the way. The Commander Baker game, old athletic banquets, and even my brother's "High School Musical" play from middle school was hidden in there somewhere. It made me want to go through all of my old home videos and upload them to the computer, getting to watch those bad boys would truly be hilarious. Secondly, I went through tons of old photo boxes to find the perfect pictures for my graduation slideshow. Erin said she had found tons of pictures from when she was younger, so I had to make sure that I got my cute baby pics in there too! I looked through pictures starting from 1995 all the way to 1998, and I must say that I was a pretty cute kid in a pretty cute family! Throughout these past eighteen years, my family has always been there for me; through the good times and the bad. It seems to me that no matter how serious we tried to be, we just couldn't help but be silly! Growing up in my family must have been a blast, I wish I could remember the younger years more! Now that I'm truly growing up and moving out - there's only one group of people I'd like to say has shaped me into the adult I am today, the Muller family. It doesn't get any better than this :)

Day 360: Catching Up

Today was a day full of catching up. It started out with sleep. After this crazy three day weekend, I definitely needed to catch up on my sleep. Even though my family all woke up early today, I slept in until one. That's pretty late for me, considering the usual early time I've been waking up lately! The second thing I caught up on was tv shows. Lately, all I've been doing is watching Desperate Housewives on Netflix, so I've been ignoring my DVR. I've been missing out on almost every single show I watch, and I realized that I needed to catch up on all the new season finales! I finally got caught up on 90210 and One Tree Hill, my two favorites. I've been watching these shows for years, so I just coulnd't go on without them. :) Third thing I caught up on was this blog. I've gotten into the bad habit of putting it off for a couple of days, and then just updating on multiple days (one time even a couple of weeks) at once. This is my last week of my 365, and I'm making a promise to myself. No more catching up, It's all getting daily updates from now on. I've come to realize that it truly is crazy that I have only five days left! My the time flies by....

Day 359: On the River!

In order to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend properly, it was necessary that Erin, Victoria, and our Indian Princess friends get together at the Brook's river house on the St. Bernard! Since my family decided to be bums and not come, I rode up with Victoria! We got there later than we wanted so we missed the first tubing trip with the Cassani's, but we still made it one of the most fun days ever! We rode on the Rigsby's boat for a bit, then joined up with Kaitlyn and Erin for a little bit of tanning and tubing on Bob Brooks' boat! None of us had been tubing in a year - last memorial day weekend! When we were younger, we didn't have any problem holding onto a tube for hours, it was so easy! Nowadays, our out of shape selves have a difficult time tubing like we used to! Regardless of our weak arms, we still had an amazing time doing what we love :)

We only spent the day at the river however; we had to get back for the Engle graduation party! Kaitlyn was graduating from Austin High School and Lauren was graduating from the University of Texas, so they had a joint graduation party! The house was of course filled with some amazing cakes, food, and people! I had fun catching up with the older kids and hanging out with the young ones, and just having fun bonding with some loving people. I think we can all agree that our favorite part was the end of the night when we got to kick it and start a little party. We're crazy kids, and I wouldn't change a thing about anything we ever do!
