Day 109: Senioritis and Science
Today was a crazy day! In broadcasting, a bunch of the seniors were laying on the floor claiming it was due to "senioritis". Honestly, senioritis is real and it definitely has an affect on the kids at Austin High School! I know that I am definitely so much more laid back in my school work this year than last, and it feels great! I love my classes this year, but I like that I can take it a little easier. After school, we had our second science club meeting! I didn't get to make the first one, so I was glad I got to go to this one. We were supposed to watch Mr. Wilson shoot a potato gun, but he didn't have the igniter so that plan was a fail. Instead, we just made a random mixture of chemicals that he knew how to make, and we made an explosion! First time we tried in inside, and the flames almost his the ceiling! This picture is a bunch of kids fanning the room after Trial 1 because it was super smoky and we didn't want the fire alarms to go off! After trial 1, We had a lot more, so we decided to take Trial 2 outside. I swear that the fire was at least 15 feet high! It was so awesome, and definitely a cool experience. As nerdy as it sounds, I love science club! :)
