Day 86: Recovery Day

Today we all woke up way earlier than intended, 9 A.M.! The sun came shining through our window and we couldn't close the curtains so there was nothing we could do but wake up and get the day started. At first, we were all tired, and didn't want to get up. When we went to breakfast, we all dragged ourselves down to the lobby and were still tired sitting at the table. After eating the all-too-expensive breakfast, we went back up to the room to plan out what we wanted to do next. Kelsey, Taylor, and I wound up falling back into the beds and wanting to nap again. Matt on the other hand, did not want to go back to sleep. He got up on our beds and jumped until we got up! It was hilarious, but he definitely wanted us to get up and get going! We all decided to comply because we were at the beach, so why not suck it up and start the day! We all cleaned up the room to be ready for check out, and then headed to the beach. It was a beautiful day, and we wanted to go to a less crowded area of the beach, but there were people EVERYWHERE! We literally drove all the way to the end of the seawall to find an empty space for us to park. It was a totally worth it though because once we got there it was awesome. The sand, the sun, and water was a perfect combination for some fun! We didn't get to stay for long because we had to head home, but we had a blast while we were there. When we headed back, Taylor and Augie both passed out because they were so tired. Matt, Kelsey, and I decided to stay up though and jam out to "The Best of the 80s" CD haha. It was crazy how much of the lyrics we actually all knew, we felt like big dorks! Once we got home, Matt had to get ready to go to a wedding while Kelsey, Taylor, Augie, and I decided to eat and just chill for a little bit. We were all pretty tired, so we finally decided to all part ways so that we could get some sleep in and Kelsey had to go back to College Station. :( I met some amazing people this weekend, and I had one of the best weekends of my life with them. I will never forget this weekend!
