Day 53: It's Just Nacho Day!
Today we woke up and we had "Real Lives", which is where some of the employees at Frontier Ranch shared their own personal stories of when they were in high school. It was pretty crazy, hearing that people who are so close to God used to be so far. It was relieving to hear that things really can change as you grow up. After Real Lives, we had another all-camp event where we got back into our colored teams. This time, it was in the pool for a Water Bonanza! It was awesome because this time I got to represent my team by riding a big Shamu. :) In the end, the blue team definitely dominated everything! It was great. In the afternoon, my cabin - Big Bear - went on the ropes course! My partner was Nicole, because I know how to force her to do it :) She's DEATHLY afraid of heights, she even yelled at the ropes course workers, it was hilarious! At the end, we're supposed to basically free fall jump from 30 feet up, and I caught the trapeze! It was crazy awesome, and I definitely felt cool when I had it in my hands :) After ropes course, we had a super long free time to do whatever we wanted. So Erin, Ellen, Jamie and I went to the game room and wound up playing extreme ping pong with RYAN LONG! It was definitely awesome getting to know Ryan as being a person rather than a singer/superstar. He was very down-to-earth and knew how to interact with us crazy teens. :) While we were playing, we got a little crazy though and a boy's nachos were accidentally knocked over! We all felt pretty bad, and Jamie decided to attempt to lift his spirits by telling him, "It's just nacho day." It was HILARIOUS! Ellen, Erin and I could not stop laughing, I even spit out my gatorade everywhere! After ping pong, we got all of our friends together to play a gigantic game of Little Sally Walker. Rocky was hilarious, he ended the game by just running away. Nobody could compete with him, he was just TOO crazy! The night wrapped up by having intense cabin bonding, which was awesome. We all came together and really became close. I love my Big Bear sisters :)
