Day 25: Cambridge Volleyball Team of New Territory

Rainy days in Sugar Land aren't the most energetic of days. Today, there wasn't much to do except paint and watch CSI, which is what I mostly did over the course of the day. Later in the day, I had work, but that wasn't to exciting either, so I got off early. When I got home, I got a call from Kaitlyn asking me if I wanted to go play sand volleyball. I thought it would be fun because I hadn't done anything all day, so I would finally be able to get out and about. Our group wasn't very big, so I wasn't sure what kind of volleyball to expect when i got there. When I did, I saw about 20 people, and 2/3 of them were grown Indian men! It was hilarious! They were ridiculously good at volleyball, and they kicked our butts when we played against them, so we got to evening out the teams and playing with them! Our team was the most fun, called the "Cambridge Volleyball Team of New Territory", how original! The men were hilarious, and definitely some good athletes! We all had a blast playing with them, especially with "Mike"! Once we learned their names, we called to them all the time, especially Mike! He probably got a little annoyed of us, but we loved it anyways!

Michael is gone! My family dropped him off this morning at a bus meeting area in Memorial to drop him off for summer camp, and now he is gone for three weeks! I admit, it is a little selfish of me to admit that I enjoy his absence, but this means a clean house for three weeks, woohoo! The fam went out to eat breakfast this morning at the Marriot's restaurant, "The Burning Pear". It was awesome because they have an amazing buffet and they make your own omelets :) When the family was full, we came back home and everyone napped except for me because I had work :( I'm glad I had it early though, because today I was actually able to attend church with my family for father's day! Since everyone got to take a nap and I didn't... I WAS a little tired, and kind of fell asleep for a bit on my daddy's shoulder :P After church, we all went to see "Get Him to the Greek" because neither of my parents had seen it, and it was just as funny a second time. We attempted to take a picture together at the house after the movie, but it's a little blurry :( Oh well, I love that movie and I love my dad! Happy father's day!

After dinner, my brother and I took out the 4-wheeler and drove out to a place near our grandparents' house called "Lover's Leap". There's a fence that is about two feet from the cliff, that I am standing on, so it was pretty scary! I'm not sure any "lovers" have ever actually jumped from this cliff, but it's a very pretty sight to see.
