"Noun: the first day of the new year, following extreme partying from the previous evening .

Today the world is a quiet place. Most businesses are closed, and all people are sleeping soundly in their beds, on couches, or wherever else they may have crashed on the previous night. This is the day that most people around the world are recuperating from the previous night of crazy new years celebrations."

In New Territory, this was definitely true. It was one of the most beautiful days I have ever seen, and no one was out to celebrate it! I really have nowhere to speak since I woke up around 1 p.m., but who's counting! After finally getting up, I realized that I was going to not let the perpetual tiredness of the day get me down. I called up Anam, Kaitlyn, and Katy and convinced them to go on a walk through New Territory to enjoy the beautiful weather. We compared stories from the night before, reminisced on our years together thus far, and began to plan our year ahead. We're graduating in 2011... and it all seems so bizarre! We're closer than we've ever been before to graduation, and without a doubt we're going to make it one crazy last semester. I can't wait for the year ahead with these ladies, enjoying the rest of our high school days, and becoming the college kids we've always aspired to be.
