Day 240: Perfectly Pampered

A while back, Erin and I went to the cleaners to get patches added to our letterman jackets and get our pant zippers fixed. While we were there, a random lady came up to us and asked if we were interested in a deal she was selling. She wound up telling us that they were spa deals, and that we were going to get $190 wroth of treatments for only $20. We were feeling pretty spontaneous and we both had 2o's with us, so we said "why not?" and purchased the deals! Anyways, point of story is... we went and got our first treatment today! We got free 30 minute facials, and let me tell you... it was amazing. I've never had a facial before, but it made me feel like a princess! When I see movies where the girls get facials, they always look like monsters with stiff faces. And it's true, that's exactly what it was like! I may not be a real princess, but today I sure felt pampered enough to be one!

Day 239: Not Quite Cinderella

Today Erin, Jamie, Erica, and I went to Harwin! Erica has never been before, so it definitely had to be a fun trip. Our plan was to go for some cheap heels... perfect to get on Harwin :) Unfortunately, Erica and I were unsuccessful in our finds :( Jamie found some shoes for our ProGrad costume, and Erin found some cute blue suede heels, that were SO cute! I almost found some that were perfect, but darn my tiny feet because none of the shoes would fit. :( I guess it just wasn't my day to be Cinderella! We even stopped at the Mad Potter so that Jamie and I could finally pick up our artwork! Unfortunately, they don't keep artwork for longer than a month. Good thing is though - they donate it! Even if I can't drink out of my cup, someone else gets too, and that's great. :) After all our shopping excursions were done, we were all pretty beat so we had to head home. We hung out for a little at Victoria's and then we decided we wanted to go out for the night. We headed to Gino's to hang out with some of the country boys... so much fun! Getting crazy with the senior class is all I want to do for the rest of the semester, so I cherish every minute I have with these crazy kids! I may not have found the right shoes today, but I definitely have the right friends <3

Day 238: The Blog Party

Tonight was the biggest night in blog history... It was the day of Kaitlyn's Blog Party! A bunch of kids and adults who have ever been involved with knowing about, being in, or ever reading the blog were there to celebrate it's end. Well, technically the blog ended December 31, 2010... but tonight Kaitlyn had a big party for everyone to see and read the book she made it into! People would literally sit at the table for an hour and read all the pages, it was crazy! Everybody got to sign one of them, it was like a yearbook for all of us to contribute to :) My favorite part was the food though - and there was tons of it! The cookie brownies were definitely the biggest hit though, thanks to Jake! Also, we played some of Katy's Just Dance game... always a party starter! Everyone (even the boys) got up and shook their groove thing! After a while, we were all pretty much danced out. It was time to leave, so we all said our goodbyes and were on our way. The night was not over though, it was time for some more getting crazy before the night ended! A couple of us got together at Evan's for a Bieber dance party, but not for long for it was off to Jamie's to spend the night :)

Day 237: It's Ragtime!

Tonight Erica, Jamie, Victoria, Kate and I went to go see the Austin Playhouse perform their annual musical, Ragtime! It was about racial tensions in the early 1900s, represented by the Harlem African-Americans, the W.A.S.P.s, and the Eastern European Immigrants. Seeing the way that all the groups interacted, I am so amazed and thankful that America has developed to become a diverse country accepting of all races. The main roles were played by Blake McCardell (Coalhouse Walker), Laura Norby (mother), and Justin Green (Tateh). All three of these seniors did so well, they were all truly amazing actors, dancers, and singers. If they try and go somewhere in theatre arts, it wouldn't surprise me if they got all the way to Broadway! The Austin Playhouse blows me away everytime they perform. Although many people don't know how to appreciate the arts, I can proudly say that I love every single show these guys put on. These guys are amazing, and they definitely deserved their standing ovation!

Day 236: Tears of Joy

Tonight was our dear friend Brooke Ballew's surprise birthday party! Her mommy Ellen and Erin got everything together over text and facebook, Brooke really never suspected a thing! Brooke had a soccer game tonight, so Ellen told her that she was going out for a "family dinner" afterwards at Rita's. Little did she know, about 20 of her best girls were there waiting for her! When she walked in and we all yelled "surprise!", she was so excited she started to cry (tears of joy of course)! Seeing a friend cry about how much her friends love her is one of the most touching things to see! :) At the table I had some great chats with some of the Travis girls - I'm so glad that I got to bond with these girls because I never see them! We all sat down for some dinner, some of Brooke's infamous Care Bear-themed cake, and then opened some presents. We got brooke everything her little heart desired, even 12 energy drinks... all individually wrapped that she had to open! Overall the night was a huge success - big surprises, happy crying, and a whole lot of girl bonding! Happy 18th birthday Brooke Ballew!

Day 235: Economics... Fail.

When it comes to school, things usually make sense to me. I can learn calculus quick. Reading a book for english, simple. However, the one thing that really makes no sense to me is economics. No matter how much I attempt to pay attention in class... everything that Coach Byrd says really makes no sense. I feel like everything he talks, he is saying either A) a different language or B) just making stuff up. He buys random cheap toys, picks on the people who aren't listening, and creates tests that go over nothing we studied in the chapter. Also, reading the chapter is trying to read something in chinese. I have no idea what it's saying. I am now confident enough to say that I am definitely NOT going to be involved in the market later in life. Needless to say, economics with be the death of me!

Day 234: What's With Whales?

I completely forgot about what happened with my family last night when we got home from the Cassani's until today at Young Life. I'll give you a replay: last night when we got home my mother was trying to tell me and Michael something but she yawned mid-sentence. To make fun of her, the ENTIRE family (dad included) started making whale sounds at her because she sounded like Dory from Finding Nemo. For about a solid five minutes, we had my mom about to pee in her pants she was laughing so hard.
Flash forward to today at Young Life. We played a game where girls had to put shaving cream all over a guy's face, and then throw Cheddar Whales at them to try to get them to stick. Whoever had the most whales on their face at the end of the time, won! During the game, Erin, Tori, Alexis, and I got a little distracted and instead of cheering on the actual team players, we just threw whales at each other. We made whale sounds, quoted Finding Nemo, and I'm pretty sure I got nailed in the head a few times! I don't know what it is about whales these days... but I couldn't help but laugh when Alexis and I were talking:
"Geez, there's just too many whales, and not enough time!" - Me
"Oh, I know the feeling." - Alexis

Day 233: Torn About Tech

After having a sleepover at Erin's last night because she got back in town, I came home pretty tired. I intended to have a productive day but as soon as I folded my laundry, I went to the couch to lay down for just a second, and it turned into a four hour long nap! I guess I was more tired than I bargained for, I just could've kept sleeping forever. The only thing that truly woke me up was Erin's call to ask me to hang out with her before our families got together for dinner. In all honestly, I probably wouldn't have even gotten up in time for dinner had my phone not been near me! Dinner was held at the Cassani residence, and we were celebrating Brenda's birthday! We ate some spaghetti and talked about the recent trip to Lubbock to visit Texas Tech. Erin of course loves it, and has already settled on going there. She's got a dorm, a roommate, the whole shebang. Brenda... not so much. I know she just wants to be able to come up and give Erin a visit whenever she pleases, and she knows she can't do that at Tech because it's too far. Needless to say, Brenda doesn't want Erin moving 9 hours away! I think that it's a lost cause though, regardless of what her mom says, Erin's going to be putting up her guns next year in Texas Tech's new class of 2015!

Day 232: Good Taste

Today I woke up to go on a shopping adventure with Jamie! Well, we both originally planned to go work out, but how could we when the chance to shop was at hand! At least I spent my money wisely by getting a maroon dress... perfect preparation for becoming an aggie :) After we got a little shopped out, we called up Victoria to come eat with us. We decided that since Erin, the pickiest eater of us all, was gone... we were going to branch out and try some food that we knew Erin would never go near. We ended up picking the Pita Pit, which was both healthy and delicious, a double plus! Afterwards, we went right next door to Berripop, (something Erin would also not like!) and got some frozen yogurt. Berripop doesn't have an sugary flavors like chocolate or cake batter, everything is fruit based. Another healthy and delicious choice we couldn't refuse :)

Later tonight while all my friends went out for a night on the town, I was stuck babysitting... which I had no problem with! I got to babysit the precious Singleton babies while Maggie and Allan went out with my parents for their very own night on the town. My parents know exactly what it's like to have three babies at once, so they knew the Singletons could used a night off! During our time together, the kids and I made some delicious ice cream sundaes, (loaded with sugar of course!) watched some Backyardigans episodes, played Fly on the Bed, and Caroline even put on a show for me. That little girl is the cutest little thing I ever did see, and Maggie is blessed to have all three of these wonderful kids as her very own children!

Day 231: Forever Young

Today was a different Friday, for some reason all the girls and I were just feeling young, alive, and ready to be spontaneous! Maybe it was the fact that Erin wasn't there... although she was greatly missed! Shying for our usual Chick-fil-A friday ritual, we decided to go to Buffalo Wild Wings after school. It's a small mix up from the typical, but we still love our chicken on Fridays :) After eating, we all decided that we had enough time to hit up some of the far away prom dress shops, I mean what else is a girl to do?! Jamie, Victoria, Erica, Gabrielle, and I headed out to Katy to check out WD prom and then out a little further to find Eesh. We all tried on a good amount of dresses, but still none of us found "THE" dress. Although, we did all decide that Erica looks best in red! We weren't successful at finding the dresses we absolutely wanted, but at least we all know what we don't want! On the way home, we all (minus erica) decided we were going to the Boy's soccer game at Kempner and then head over to Gabby's to hang out. It was freezing cold, thank goodness we were only there for one half! At the end of the game, we even created a tunnel for the boys to run through, I'm sure they really appreciated their only female fans :) At Gabby's, all the girls decided we were going to "reminisce" because we were "forever young". All of us had a blast making pizza, cuddling with her big huskies, and staying up late to well... reminisce! I love these girls, and I wouldn't want to be Forever Young with anyone else! <3

Day 230: Jersey Shore

After many times of saying we would, Dawg Pause 16 finally had our first themed show of the year today! One of the easiest and best ways to get crazy is of course, Jersey Shore! Tonight is also a premier of a new episode, so it was perfect for today. I was nominated to play the fun-loving and always partying Snooki, Courtney as the "walking holiday" Deena, Brianna as the fiesty J-Woww, and of course Jake as DJ Pauly D. The weather called for some sun, perfect weather for tanning! (even though it's actually freezing outside!) The girls all "poof-ed" their hair, and put on some very shiny, very orange bronzer. After getting ready, I looked at myself in the mirror and didn't even recognize my reflection! Being tan is definitely not a bad thing, but orange... that's a different story! I love this show, but I don't think I'd ever be able to GTL as well as these crazy kids do!

"Oh yeah, thanks for watching yeah" - Me
"Thanks for watching Bulldogs, i think you know what time it is now..." - Brianna
"It's T-SHIRT TIIIIIME!" - Both

Day 229: Spirit

Some may boast of prowess bold
Of the school they think so grand
But there’s a spirit can ne’er be told
It’s the Spirit of Aggieland

We are the Aggies, the Aggies are we
True to each other as Aggies can be
We’ve got to fight boys
We’ve got to fight!
We’ve got to fight for Maroon and White

After they’ve boosted all the rest
Then they will come and join the best
For we are the Aggies, the Aggies are we
We’re from Texas AMC

T-E-X-A-S A-G-G-I-E
Fight! Fight! Fight-fight-fight!
Fight, Maroon! And White-white-white!
A-G-G-I-E
Texas! Texas! A-M-C
Gig ‘em! Aggies! 1-2-3!
Farmers fight! Farmers fight!
Fight! Fight!
Farmers, farmers, fight!

Day 228: Working Hard vs. Hardly Working

On a usual basis, we have NHS meetings on Mondays nights at five. But since this week we had MLK day off, we had our first ever Tuesday night meeting - never happens! It was a chance of luck that it did though because when I was talking to Kaitlyn at the meeting, I noted that she looked like she was about go running. She said, "Yeah, I'm going to Total Conditioning after this, you wanna come with me?" Now ever since I quit volleyball, let's face it I've not been the best at sticking to a workout schedule. I've pretty much been a lazy bum! Whenever the opportunity comes up to go to the gym, I usually turn it down. But for some reason, something inside of me (maybe it's my sister telling me to get in shape) told me that I should say yes, which I did. Even Kaitlyn was surprised that I said yes, because usually I never go! The class was rough, but I was proud of myself because I got through it! Although I may not be a total gym rat, I'm going to try and get there!

Day 227: Opposite of Adults

This morning Erin and I woke up at the crack of 8 o'clock to do some early prom dress shopping with our momma's! We checked a few of the local prom places out... Muzzie's, Mommy Dearest, etc. But we didn't seem to find the right dress anywhere! Well, I told my dad I found the right dress, but after showing him the picture of it, he knew it was only a joke :) Thank god it's a couple months left to prom, we still have a lot of time to shop for our dresses to makes us feel like princesses :) Also, after many attempts and promises that all the Frontier kids would "get together soon," Jamie and I decided that enough was enough! Today Erin, Jamie, Zach, Garrett, and I all finally were reunited at Laser Zone! Okay, so Laser Zone probably sounds like the most childish place to hang out, and it's no lie because there were kids everywhere. But it was seriously SO much fun! I remember when I was a kid, I would hate it when all the older kids would beat me at lazer tag, because well... they were just older. But now, since we are those older kids, we were the best ones there! There was a big group of little boys who got really into it, but they were no match for any of us. After zapping one little boy several times, he turned around and yelled, "HOW do you guys keep FINDING me?!" to Erin, Jamie and I. We kinda felt bad, but we couldn't help but be competitive and finally be the big kids that won all the games! Even though we all look like adults, it's never to lame to act likes kids again!

Day 226: Dance the Night Away

When you're with your friends and there's nothing else to do, what do you do? You start a dance party of course! While Erin, Erica, and I were hanging out tonight, that's exactly what we did. We were just sitting around, stalking people on Facebook (as usual) and we were pretty bored out of our minds. I got up and went to Erin's iPod to see what was playing, and sure enough, the song Waka Waka by Shakira was playing and I didn't even know it! I took the iPod off of mute and made sure that the song was loud enough for the whole house to hear. I got up and started to dance, and Erin and Erica at first thought I was a little crazy. After a few awesome dance moves though, they got into the swing of things and we all started to dance like crazy people! Brenda came upstairs to tell us they were leaving and to not get into any trouble, but when she saw that I was teaching Erin how to 2-step, she just laughed at us and knew we would be occupied for the night. Dancing really is the ultimate way to just have fun with your girl friends. When in doubt, dance it out!

Day 225: Shake It Up

Today was a pretty spontaneous day! Early in the morning, Erin, Erica, and I went down the the Rosenberg area to do some shopping and eating some lunch at McAllister's. We got some good deals at Marshall's and Rue 21, and we just got in the shopping mood! We met up with Victoria and we all decided that we were going to be spontaneous and go prom dress shopping! I know, it's a tad bit early, but we're all seniors so we know we're all going, so we might as well start looking! We planned on going to WD Prom, but it was closed, so we went a little up the street to Formal Gallery instead! I swear, we walked into bejeweled central... there were too many beads! We each tried on a few dresses, but nothing seemed to be the right one. It may not have been a successful trip to get the dresses we want, but we for sure know now which ones we don't want! A little later, Erin, Jamie, and I went over to Blake's house for a little "Just Dance" (we're all addicted now!) The girls were BY FAR better than the boys, but the boys were still pretty good at shaking their groove thangs! Dylan was the best booty-shaker out of all of them, Wyatt liked to play "Hey Ya", and Blake was the best beyonce for "Crazy in Love". Girls dancing, well that just seems normal. Boys dancing... now that is just one of the funniest things I've ever seen!

Day 224: Worth the Wait

Tonight was the last night Diane was going to be in town, so the family of course had to get together for dinner! Since it was Diane's last night, she got to be the chooser for the night, and she got to pick whatever she wanted to eat! She chose Kona Grill, so all of us got all spiffed up and went out for a night on the town. We all were pretty hungry, we all saved up our appetites during the day to make sure we could be hungry at dinner time! Unfortunately however, the place was PACKED and we had to wait a long time. It took about an hour and a half total from when we got there to when we got our food. We were all getting pretty antsy, we were starving! When the food finally came, we stuffed our faces. The people sitting around us probably thought we were big fatties but we didn't care - we were hungry hungry hippos! After a little eating, the manager came over to us and asked how our food was. With full-mouths we responded "awesome!" He looked at us apologetically and said that he was sorry for the wait, and because it took so long, we were going to get not one, but TWO free desserts! It was such a generous offer, and we couldn't refuse! The Muller's night out was definitely delicious and worth the wait!

Day 223: Nuts

My family is a big bunch of crazy people. When we're all together under one roof, we are seriously some of the most hilarious people I know. The first joke tonight occurred when my parents and brother were gone because Michael had a soccer game. Diane and I were the only ones home, and I was sitting on the couch while Diane was eating dinner. She was eating some steak and didn't want to finish it, so she turned around and said, "You want a piece of my meat?" At first I was going to say sure, but I just started to laugh. When she realized what she had said, she bust out laughing too. I yelled at her, "NO! What are you saying?!" and she replied "NO! I have no idea what you're talking about!" and it just kept going on. If someone would have heard us yelling... they probably would've thought we were crazy! Joke #2 was when my parents came home. My mom was telling us all about the game, but my dad was silent. We didn't even notice until we turned around and saw him sitting on the couch, the with the "dramatic gopher" picture blown up on the desktop, with the computer over his face. It looked like he was THE dramatic gopher, it was hilarious! We all couldn't stop laughing, my family is a bunch of loons. Like the old saying says; "Families are like fudge, mostly sweet but with a few nuts!"

Day 222: Broadcass...ting

A new semester, a new year, and a new intro for Dawg Pause 16! Last semester, the same intro went on every single week, every single episode, so boring! It's not 2010 anymore, it's 2011! We had to spice things up a little and get people excited! Last semester, it was pretty imminent that we were getting the best reviews from our funny skits like, " A Broadcass-t Thanksgiving", "Teach Me How to Study", and much more. So, we decided that we were going to make it a silly intro instead of a boring one! Courtney, Christian, and I were in charge, and we knew we had to live up to everyone's expectations! Hopefully, everyone enjoys the work we put in, because Broadcass-ting is bringing in the new year bigger and better than ever! :)

Day 221: Keeps Gettin' Closer

Today was ProGrad senior day at school! All we had to do was wear our senior class shirts and we automatically got fifty bulldog bucks, ca-ching! It was definitely an easy way to get some important points. There are so many things to think ahead about when you're a senior, like Prom, ProGrad, graduation, college... the list never ends! As the end of the year nears, all of the seniors are getting closer and closer to leaving each other. There are some things that we never want to let go of. People we never want to leave behind. But keep in mind that letting go isn't the end of the world. It's the beginning of new life. High School isn't about the end of our childhood, it's about the beginning of our adulthood. It's growing up, it's moving on, it's letting go, but it's being immature, it's getting to be wild with yours friends, it's about making friendships that last forever. High school isn't just what everyone says it is... it's so much more.

Day 220: Students > Alumni

Tonight was the Varsity boys soccer game vs. the Alumni players, and it was FREEZING. Erin, Jamie, Victoria, Kate, and I got bundled up as if ready for a blizzard and headed out to the fields. Even though we were very cuddly and warm, we were still cold. Poor jamie only had one mitten! Although we were like frozen little eskimos sitting up in those bleachers, it was so much fun. We cheered on the boys (mostly sevon, hehe) and like to get a good laugh at which alumni made it to the game. All the soccer girls were there because Coach A was even playing in the game, and they definitely noted when he would mess up, it was hysterical! The Varsity boys won. They played great, and especially since they whooped their elders. :) From the looks of this game, the soccer season will definitely be just as exciting as the ones in the past!

Day 219: Shopping Spree?

Today my mom, Diane, and I set out for a girl's day at the Galleria to do some shopping before Diane left town. We parked at Nordstrom's and shopped around a little bit and picked out some cute clothes, and headed to the cash register. Once there, my mom realized she forgot her credit cards. All of them, even her I.D.! Usually, Diane and I would have our cards just in case, but on this specific day for some reason, we both forgot them. What a perfect situation, three girls all ready to but some cute clothes and we all forgot out credit cards. We literally couldn't buy anything, it was so depressing! We decided that we weren't going to be let down, we were still going to shop! Even though my mom and I had work and school to go to the next day, since Diane was still on break we nominated her as the future buyer. So our plan was to find cute stuff, put it all on hold, and then have Diane come back and buy it tomorrow! Even though we were going to get it the next day, having to pick out clothes and not being able to bring them home is just one of the saddest things ever :( Bad as it is to admit, I think the Muller girls have all got a little shopaholic in them!

Day 218: Pokemon Champ

Tonight Jamie, Erin, Dylan, and I went over to Blake's house for some more stuffed-crust pizza, fire making, and hot tubbing! It was a pretty cold day due to the cold front (some people swore it would snow, but sadly it didn't), so it was definitely an ideal day for warm activities. Although technically the fire and the hot tub were both outside, they were the perfect ways to warm up! Blake's dad probably would doubt Erin and I's past with camping, because we were pretty degenerate when it came to creating a successful fire... we tried twice! But third times' the charm I guess because when he came out to help us, the fire blew up! Shortly after come fireside chats, we all headed inside to change, and then came back out to jump in the hot tub! We had fun being warm, but erin and I decided to challenge each other to a race inside the freezing pool. I just in and realized it was way too cold, and definitely wasn't the weather for swimming! After we all got out and said bye to Dylan, the rest of us headed upstairs to play some awesome Nintendo 64. We played Pokemon Stadium Mini-games, the game that Erin and I's childhood revolved around. We played to be the champion twice, and I won both times! Not only my competitive self was happy, but my inner child was very proud that I hadn't lost my Pokemon charm. :)

Day 217: Crank That Aggie

Today my mom, dad, and sister got to go to Dallas and attend the 75th annual Cotton Bowl! The Texas A&M Aggies played the LSU Tigers, and it was a great game! I could have gone with them, but I had to turn it down because it was a bit expensive, plus I couldn't miss school! :( Instead, I went to the Cassani's for a Cotton bowl party! Mr. Rick even had some chairs and the big screen set up outside, it was ridiculously awesome. To contribute to setting up, Erin thought that we should have a "Bowl of Cotton" for the Cotton bowl! Not many people got it, but we thought it was the best part of the whole set up. Erin, Victoria, Emily, and I were some of the only kids for a while... it was a little awkward. There were a lot of adults, and we didn't know a lot of them! After a while though we got used to it and just hung with the oldies :) Over the course of the night, Brooke stopped in and out, Victoria and Emily left, and Jamie came! Once the game was over, which unfortunately ended in an Aggie loss :(, Jamie, Erin, and I went over to Tyler's to hang out with some friends before they all leave to go back to college :( We didn't stay long, because we had some more fun to attend to! We went back to Jamie's and played her "Just Dance" game on the Wii, it was SO much fun! Playing "Just Dance" isn't only fun, but it's a work out! I love hanging out with my girls, no matter what we do, whether it's partying or "just dancing" around the house, we always have fun! :)

Day 216: The Puppy Days Are Over

Today Diane made one of the worst decisions ever. She decided to take our dogs on a walk... at the same time. Really bad move. Tucker is 2 years old and is one of the most energetic dogs ever. He's always ready to go for a run! But Ginger... she's 11 and way past her prime. I'm pretty sure all Ginger does nowadays is lay on the couch, bark, and eat. When Diane took them both out for a walk, she literally only went about half a mile when she called me. She told me that I needed to come and pick up ginger in the car because Ginger refused to walk anymore. I couldn't stop laughing, I couldn't believe that my DOG was being so lazy. I wound up finding them sitting in the grass in front of Walker Station, waiting for me. Ginger's a freaking lazy bum, but I guess I can't really blame her since she technically is 91 years old!

Day 215: Almost There

The second day of school and we've already got homework... come on what is that? Second semester of senior year... isn't that supposed to be the laziest time of high school! Erin and I had to go after school today and get our new book for english, Dracula... so depressing. Reading this semester just doesn't seem like something I want to be doing... it just doesn't work for me. As a wise man once described it:
"Senioritis is a virus which seems to affect mainly second semester seniors. This virus can be deadly to one's grades, as the carrier becomes totally uncaring about their grades, classes, homework etc. Side effects include: Failure to give a crap, complete and utter apathy, and the stopping of completing school work."
I wouldn't disagree with that statement whatsoever, it's pretty accurate. Senioritis is a disease, and the only cure is coming in 150 days, GRADUATION!

Day 214: Back to Reality

Waking up at 6:30 A.M.... not my choice of things to do on a tuesday morning. Today was the first day of school and let me tell you, I was not exactly the happiest camper. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE seeing everybody that I didn't get to see over the break, but the actual "learning" part... eek. Senior year isn't even tough, but I'm still as lazy as ever! It's so funny going to school on a first day back, and realizing that you can so easily pin point which grade each kid is in. Freshmen dress in their best hollister clothes they can find, sophomores... well no one pays attention to them. Juniors dress like they're going clubbing, and the seniors all look like hobos. I'll never forget my freshman year, when Jenna Crawford (a senior at the time) was talking in my study hall about the way people dress. One freshman girl was trying to show off, saying that she looked old enough to be a senior. Jenna went up to her and said "No, you don't. Look at what you're wearing. What, Abercrombie? Now look at me. Big t-shirt and sweatpants. I dress like a senior, you dress like a freshman." To this day, I remember this because she was so right, seniors don't just get senioritis on studying, they get lazy on everything!
