Day 364: The Night Before Life Goes On

Today was a day FULL of things to do. As Victoria put it, "I feel like I have a to-do list that never gets any smaller!" I woke up early today to head on over to the Cassani's and start setting up for Erin and I's graduation party tomorrow, the day has already come! We spent quite a bit setting up our "shrine", and in the end I think we did pretty darn good! After coming home, I had to make sure that I set apart time for one of the things on my to-do list I've been putting off the most... my Math Placement Exam. Every student attending a Texas University has to take one, and they've given us ample time to complete it. I have never really been in the mood to take mine, but it's due before I got to my New Student Conference (next week), so I definitely had to do it A.S.A.P.! Little did I know that it was going to be the craziest test of my life, and it took two hours to study and take it! In the end, it was worth it because I got 30 out of 33 right - good enough to enter a Calc 1 course! But let's be real... today was not entirely focused on math, nor did I want it to be! After getting my test and some errands done, I headed over to Mariah and Kendall's graduation party! It was all the way in Pecan Grove, but it proved worth the drive because the crawfish were amazing (not to mention, the people there were too)! It was full of food, fun, friends, family... what more could you ask for?

Day 363: "BEACH TRIP LAST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL!"

Today was the VERY LAST day of highschool EVER! I can't believe it's already here... wow. Today would have been a very emotional day had it not been for one thing... the beach! Surfside allowed all of us seniors to put away the sadness of separating and just celebrate being together for one final school day! I drove up with my girls, dancing to some crazy music and getting pumped up for our very last high school beach trip... every other trip will be a "graduate" or a "college" trip... it's so crazy! We were all expecting the best trip of our lives... but boy were we surprised by what was waiting for us at the beach. Because of the recent weather change, the coast has had an influx of mosquitoes, and they were there waiting for us! There was a wall of mosquitoes in between us on the dunes and the water, you had to sprint through if you wanted to get in the water! To top it all off, there was a shark attack there earlier in the week, so it was a pretty dangerous trip - with inevitable bites! Thankfully, no one was bit by a shark, and we didn't let the bugs bother us... we still made it one of the best trips ever! Sometimes, you just gotta roll with the punches and make the best of what you've got, after all... it was the last day of high school!

Day 362: I Survived

Today was the second to last day of high school ever! Now usually on the last day of school, it's been a tradition to swim at Savannah's house; we've done it for the past couple of years. However; we all have plans tomorrow for the last day, so we had to make the swim party today! Of course we had to somewhat follow the tradition senior year, what else! As usual, it started off with mostly girls. Guys are usually busy after school doing their "manly" things, too busy to hang out with the ladies... so they always show up "fashionably late". The girls don't ever mind, we have more important things to do like tan and talk about the guys while they aren't there ;) I honestly can't believe that this is the last time all of us will have an "after school hang out", let alone a school night! College has crept up on us faster than I could even imagine it would, and I honestly don't know where the time has gone. All I can say is that after all of these years, I am going to miss this high school life. I'll miss my friends, living with my family, seeing all these familiar faces everyday. Whether I like it or not... I'm growing up!
