Day 4: Roof Climbers and Treehuggers

Today I read, a LOT. My favorite author is Harlan Coben, an author my parents showed me. In the past 48 hours i've had this book, I've already read to page 328. I definitely suggest reading his books, they are phenomenal! Anyways, at one point i decided to read outside because my grandparents have balconies upstairs and downstairs. I decided to go up to the upstairs one day, and my dog, Tucker, decided to follow. I went inside for a split second to get him a pillow to lay on, and when I came outside, he was gone! I was terrified, the worst possible scenario popped into my head, that he went through the banisters and fell of the cliff. I screamed his name but couldn't find him, so I decided to get Michael to help my search. After about two minutes, I realized that the upper balcony was roof accessible, and I sprinted to the end where you could get on the roof, and you can only guess what I found. Tucker was sitting there right on the roof! He is a very awesome dog and I love him, but sometimes he is just a little too curious!

I was also an ecologist today :) My grandpa, grandma, brother and I all went canoeing down the creek near my grandparents' house and picked up trash along the riverbanks. At first, Michael and I were very reluctant, thinking it would be hot and disgusting. But it turns out that we had a great time, it was very calm and cool. It made me really appreciate nature, seeing all the wildlife that lived there, it opened my eyes to the fact that we aren't the only inhabitants on this earth, there are others that need our help cleaning up our messes. It was a great way to bond with the family, and we were being proactive while hanging out.
