Day 25: Cambridge Volleyball Team of New Territory

Rainy days in Sugar Land aren't the most energetic of days. Today, there wasn't much to do except paint and watch CSI, which is what I mostly did over the course of the day. Later in the day, I had work, but that wasn't to exciting either, so I got off early. When I got home, I got a call from Kaitlyn asking me if I wanted to go play sand volleyball. I thought it would be fun because I hadn't done anything all day, so I would finally be able to get out and about. Our group wasn't very big, so I wasn't sure what kind of volleyball to expect when i got there. When I did, I saw about 20 people, and 2/3 of them were grown Indian men! It was hilarious! They were ridiculously good at volleyball, and they kicked our butts when we played against them, so we got to evening out the teams and playing with them! Our team was the most fun, called the "Cambridge Volleyball Team of New Territory", how original! The men were hilarious, and definitely some good athletes! We all had a blast playing with them, especially with "Mike"! Once we learned their names, we called to them all the time, especially Mike! He probably got a little annoyed of us, but we loved it anyways!

Day 24: Kickin' it at the O-G

Today was such a busy day at night! I didn't have work, so I definitely took advantage of that and decided to hang out with friends :) Kaitlyn and I went to Olive Garden for dinner, and we had the best waitress ever! She was perfect at her job and she made Kaitlyn and I so happy, we left her a big tip! Having somebody do something nice for us helped up create a snowball effect; we decided to do something really nice for someone else! :) Taylor Cobb's favorite restaurant is Olive Garden, and since he wasn't able to come, we brought Olive Garden to him! I don't think I've ever seen someone so appreciative as Taylor was when we showed up with a big bag for h
m! It really was a great feeling to know that I really went out of my way to make somebody happy :) After dropping the food off at Taylor's, Kaitlyn and I went back to her house to meet up with a few friends for some Scattegories and Bachelorette!

Day 23: Basket-flagen-flugen

Slow paced days like today help me relax after my crazy days! :) I didn't do much until later in the day, when I went to church with the fam minus Diane. Afterwards, we went to Kroger and bought lots of food to cook for dinner that night, and to send to Michael at camp. One of the best chips I've ever tried are "Zapps Voodoo Gumbo" flavor, I couldn't stop eating them! After dinner, all of us wanted to watch "New Moon", because my mom has never seen it and with eclipse coming out this next week, she knew she had to catch up on her twilight saga movies! Instead of finishing out the movie, I went to Katy's instead. She had a bunch of people over to swim and just hang out, and it was fun! We all got in the pool and it was fun watching all the guys and Kaitlyn beast up a game called "Basket-flagen-flugen" a.k.a. water basketball! Kaitlyn was definitely the best one out there! :) After katy's; Kaitlyn, Taylor, Mark, Anthony, and I went to sonic to grab some drinks and just sit around and talk because it was too early to go home! We wound up playing random games like "would you rather" and "mary-bury-do" and also just asking random questions! It was fun to have some bonding time with a smaller group of people, because Kaitlyn and I definitely love to spark up some conversation!

Day 22: I Love Jerseys!

A bunch of people got together today at Steffi's to watch the U.S. vs. Ghana game, and it was very depressing when the U.S. lost 2-1. I love USA, and I think regardless of the score, they played some awesome games in the 2010 World Cup! Also, today was Sports Jersey Day at work, and everybody got to wear an athletic shirt of their choice, so of course I picked a Texas A&M jersey! Tonight I also got a little surprise - some of the Austin Angels stopped by to tell me hi! I'm glad I had visitors to cheer me up because saturday just seem to be the day for demanding families to come in! So many people with large parties came in - and we are NOT a very big restaurant - so it was a little stressful running around all night. After work however, I got to chill out with a lot of my friends, so I was very happy about that! I got to see some people I haven't seen all summer, so I was glad that I was reunited with some old friends! Also, Jamie Chapman even gave me an England Jersey! I'm pretty sure it's one of the best things anyone has ever given me, Jamie is an awesome friend! :) After that, some of the girls got to sleep over at Meredith's house, which was fun. Last night was probably one of the most fun nights of summer by far, I love my friends!

Day 21: Cake and Company

Another lazy day in the Muller household. When I woke up, I went downstairs to my parent's bedroom and watched "Amazing Wedding Cakes" for about 3 hours. I love that show, the cakes they make really are AMAZING! My favorite company is definitely "Christopher Garren's Cakes" because all their cakes take it to a new level, like this "Let Them Have Tea Cake". They are pure works of art! While I was watching, it began to storm pretty badly, and my dog Tucker decided to be a big baby. He is terrified of thunderstorms, so when they happen, he shakes like a leaf! He even jumped off the bed at one point and hid underneath the bed! He may seem like a tough dog at first, but he's really just a scaredy-cat! Later, I had work and it was soccer jersey day! Almost everybody that was working was wearing some type of soccer jersey, it was great! I love themed days at work because everybody dresses up and it's a change of scenery from our usual black and gray t-shirts! After work, I went to Anam's house! When I walked in, I found my friends with all the lights off with just a strobe light on, having a dance party; not what I was expecting! It was hilarious seeing a bunch of girls going crazy when no one is around to see them, hahaha! After the dance party, everyone pretty much left and Anam and I got to talk with our friends Josh and Adrian. I hadn't talked to them in forever so I was glad I finally got to! Later, Anam and I watched "She's Out of My League" which was actually really cute! Anam thought it was going to be a bad movie, but she ended up loving it as well :) Then her and I crawled into bed, had some pillow talk, and got a good night's sleep! :)

Day 20: The Singletons!

I got to babysit the Singletons today! They are the cutest kids I have ever babysat for, I promise! Grayson, Caroline, and Ellie are all just the best kids a babysitter could ask for. They know exactly how to have a fun time with just being silly :) We played hide and seek, fly on the bed, and dance party; and they were all equally hilariously fun! When I made them lunch, Caroline decided to be silly and put all her raspberries on her fingers then eat them off! I definitely would not mind babysitting these kiddos again, they are a hoot! Later, Meredith texted me and invited me to go play sand volleyball, which ended up being a bust because only Meredith, Osita, Sydney, Kevin, and I showed up AND it began to storm! We called it off for the night and Mere, Syd, and I decided to go to Randall's to get some healthy treats :) We headed over to Steffi's for a little bit and then we just all hung out for a while, just hanging out and chillin. After Steffi's, I went over to my friend Cody's for a little bit to swim with some friends, which was fun because Kelsey and I got to dance to "Waka Waka" again! :) Overall, it was a great day with some new kids and some old friends! :)

Day 19: The Toys Are Back in Town

Well, I actually started out the day today with not going to be until 5:30 A.M. I don't regret it though, I had an awesome time hanging out at Kelsey's! Unfortunately, I had to wake up early though for my first actual morning shift at work (what a great day to have it too). The U.S. played Algeria today in the World Cup and they WON! Pretty much the entire time I was at work, the news was talking about how the U.S. was advancing, it was awesome! GO Landon Donovan! Work was extremely tiring, so the minute I got home, I slept for about 3 hours, waking up to I don't even know how many missed calls and texts from the outside world. I guess I was just to exhausted to wake up and respond! After the long nap, my mom pointed out that since my dad and sister were going out tonight together, that her and I should have a girls night! So we got dressed up and went to one of her favorite restaurants, Thai Cottage. It was yummy! After dinner, we went to go see Toy Story 3 in 3D and it was such a great movie! Granted I might be biased because I love Tom Hanks, but I thought bringing back the same characters after a decade really was a great decision for Pixar. If you haven't seen this movie yet, you better or else you're missing out!

Day 18: Waka Waka

I finally saw Anam today! I haven't seen her in SO long, so I'm glad she FINALLY took some time from her family-filled life to actually see me! She came over and we watched "17 Again" with Zac Efron, which was awesome! It was hilarious and it definitely helped that Zac is ridiculously good looking. :) After Anam left, I went to go get my teeth cleaned at the dentist! Not very exciting, but I was happy to hear that the dentist thinks my teeth are very well kept! After that, I just hung around the house taking a nap until I had to go to work. Tonight wasn't busy at all, so we decided to do some coworker bonding by having Juan make some of his homemade hot wings, which were delicious. I love when my work feeds me :) And now, I'm at my best friend Kelsey Young's and we're having a party! Also, theme song for the day is "Waka Waka", by Shakira, the 2010 World Cup song. It's the BEST SONG EVER! If you haven't yet, watch the video, it's amazing :)

Day 17: Kickin' it Old School

My house is currently under major reorganization, we are cleaning out EVERYTHING! When I first woke up, I got to hang out with my "neighbor sis", Steffi. I haven't hung out with her in a while because both of us are always so busy, so I was glad we were finally able to see each other. After a little facebook stalking, catching up and being lazy; I went back home to find a construction site. Stuff was literally EVERYWHERE! One of the major cleaning zones was my mom's closet. She was cleaning out all of her old things that she didn't wear anymore, and there was a pile of old clothes that could have overflowed the bathtub, it was crazy! She asked me to go through her things to see if I wanted any of it-which turned into some silly fun. We both started trying on some of her oldest, goofiest, out-of-date clothes and started modeling. It was so funny! All the clothes were pretty hideous, but it was fun to have my mom show me what she dressed like in high school!

Day 16: Father's Day!l

Michael is gone! My family dropped him off this morning at a bus meeting area in Memorial to drop him off for summer camp, and now he is gone for three weeks! I admit, it is a little selfish of me to admit that I enjoy his absence, but this means a clean house for three weeks, woohoo! The fam went out to eat breakfast this morning at the Marriot's restaurant, "The Burning Pear". It was awesome because they have an amazing buffet and they make your own omelets :) When the family was full, we came back home and everyone napped except for me because I had work :( I'm glad I had it early though, because today I was actually able to attend church with my family for father's day! Since everyone got to take a nap and I didn't... I WAS a little tired, and kind of fell asleep for a bit on my daddy's shoulder :P After church, we all went to see "Get Him to the Greek" because neither of my parents had seen it, and it was just as funny a second time. We attempted to take a picture together at the house after the movie, but it's a little blurry :( Oh well, I love that movie and I love my dad! Happy father's day!

Day 15: Youth in Relaxtion

Most relaxed/boring day of my life. I barely did anything all day except watch the movie "Youth in Revolt" (which is very dirty but pretty funny) with my mom and make some queso for us to eat. Around 6:30, Richard came home to visit, so I went over to his house to hang out with him and Brian Clark. I laughed really hard when I first got there because his poor dog stacy was wearing a diaper! Then, we all went out to eat some sushi at Kona Grill, it was delicious :) Plus, it was extra awesome because Kona Grill plays great music and we also ordered a huge brownie. YUM! I was very content with eating and hanging out until my brother called and asked me to drive him somewhere, so Richard, Brian and I all piled in the car, picked up my brother and my two dogs and all headed out for an adventure! (might as well make it fun!) We ended up seeing some weird creatures, like a HUGE bug that landed on the hood of my car and a very weird bird. Needless to say, it was a very random car ride. After all of this, we went back to Richard's to play Madlibs for EVER. Eventually we got tired of that and Brian decided to leave, so Richard and I decided to relax and watch a classic; Monsters Inc. :)

Day 14: Bye Bye ATX

When Kaitlyn, Lauren, and I woke up in ATX, we decided to go grab some breakfast at another local favorite called Kerbey Lane Cafe. The pancakes were amazing, and so was the infamous Kerbey Queso! Queso and pancakes for breakfast... a weird mixture haha. After that, we said our goodbyes to Lauren and Kaitlyn and I headed out on the road! Of course, we made a pit stop at the Texas-famous "Tyler's" store and both got some super bright t-shirts, yay! Then, we were officially on the road! The ride back was definitely not as long as the ride there which was awesome. When we were close to home, we both made estimations of what time it would take us to get to my house. Kaitlyn guessed 3:31 and I guessed 3:33 and we got there at.... 3:32! It was "tiesies" and we both laughed cause technically we both won :) I was bummed to be home, but I had to go to work to make some money! At work, it was the first time I had ever worked with MEG! :) Things were going smoothly until an arrogant man decided to yell at us for no reason. We didn't like it at all, but we shook it off and just ignored him for the rest of the night. I thought to myself, "dude, you shouldn't be messing with the people that handle your food". After I got home, my mom and I watched "Love Happens", which was so cute! I cried, but it was a very touching movie :)

Day 13: Party in ATX!

ROAD TRIP WITH KAITLYN ENGLE TO AUSTIN, TEXAS! SKEEEEEWHOOP!
Probably one of the most fun weekends I've had in a LONG time! When we first got there, Lauren took Kaitlyn and I to some local favorites to eat; Hut's Burgers and Tiff's Treats-which we both delicious! After that, we walked around campus for a little while, waiting for Lauren's roommate Kayla to get out of class. It began to rain, so we quickly got back in the car and waited there for Kayla. When we got back to the apartment, it had stopped raining so we decided that we should walk around Guadalupe street a little to check out some cool places and exchange our dollar DVDs. While we were out, it began to rain again very hard! Lauren, Kaitlyn, and I got extremely wet and had to walk all the way back to the the apartment in the pouring rain, it was hilarious! When we got back we all took showers and settled down to watch "Valentine's Day" which was an adorable movie :) After, we all got ready for a night out on the town! We got all dressed up to go over to Lauren's friend Kassie's apartment and to go out to dinner for a few munchies at a mexican restaurant called Sago. Nothing to special, but we still had a great time. Then we went with a bunch of Lauren's friends out country western dancing, it was so awesome! I had never two-stepped before, but I definitely got the hang of it! I definitely give boys who know how to dance props, they made the night so much more fun! Country western dancing was definitely one of the most fun dance nights I've ever had in my life, thank you Texas!

Day 12: Busy Bee

Today was so busy! When I woke up, Erin came to pick me up and we went to the dollar store (again) and we bought some very cool water bottles :) Then, I went to the mall to go shopping with Cassandra and Bailey, both of whom I haven't seen in FOREVER, so it was really nice to be reunited with some old volleyball friends. We went into dillard's and each tried on 1 cute dress and 1 hideous dress, it was hilarious! And I even bought a top that was 70% on sale, holla! Haha. After that, I went over to my girl Kaitlyn's house to hang out with some friends, do some slip-n-slidin' and some swimming. It was very fun to actually get outside during the day for once. Then I had work, where Kelsey and I had some good heart-to-hearts about our friends and life. :) And it was a very randomly busy wednesday! Probably because we were having so many specials, people just couldn't stay away! After work, I went back to Kaitlyn's house to sit around and chat with a bunch of friends. We discussed who we thought would be senior favorites next year; it was pretty funny to see who we could come up with for each. It was a very busy day, but I enjoyed every minute of it with people I love :)

Day 11: Kelseyyyyyyyy

I finally had my first day back to work after my long break! Some people think working is such a drag, but I really like it. The people are awesome and so is the food! I work at Fish City Grill, so maybe you should come visit me sometime! I was especially excited to work today because I finally got to see one of my best friends, KELSEY YOUNG! We even got to sneak this pic during our working hours :) She has been gone in Disney World for about 10 days so it's been forever since we've seen each other. I was happy we both got scheduled today so we could reunite and of course, catch up. I'm glad she had an awesome time in Disney World (and has therefore, decided to have her honeymoon there), but I am ten million times more happy now that she is home so that we can hang out! :) I missed my KY!

Day 10: Get Him to the Greek

When I woke up today, I cleaned my room so much that I threw away 2 whole bags of trash. It was great to finally get my room tidy. After all that, I had a doctor appointment at 1:30 to get a physical for my camp, yaaaay for younglife! Anyways, I wound up going to Mark's for a little bit, then we went to the Movies to see "Get Him to the Greek", which was HILARIOUS. First of all, I was very excited to see it, because I very rarely go to the movies, so it's the first time I've ever been being the age of 17. Usually I'd have to wait till R-rated movies are out on DVD, but I could just go in this time! That sounds pretty stupid, but I definitely felt cool doing it. :) Anyways getting back to the movie, It's basically about representative from a record company, Aaron, who gets his chance at "big time" by being in charge of famous rockstar, Aldous Snow (who is a drug addict). Somewhere among their crazy adventures, Aaron teaches Aldous that he doesn't need drugs to love life. It's hilarious, and definitely a MUST see if you want a good, awkward laugh.

Day 9: Drinking Out of Cups

I woke up at 6:40 A.M. this morning because I am a dedicated friend! Haha, I woke up to go back to Richard's house to help him pack the rest of his stuff for camp and eat breakfast with him. It was pretty sad, but I know he loves his job so that's all that matters! Around 9:30, I came back home and just lounged around all day with the family painting and watching some World Cup soccer. Around 5, I went to Hannah Thompson's graduation party and hung out for a while. Then I went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings with Kaitlyn, Anam, Erin, Victoria, Erica, Jamie, Kate, Nick, Cale, Mark, Matt, and Cody. It was fun :) After dinner, we all went over to Kaitlyn's where we met up with Ariel, Brandon, Taylor, and Anthony to play some intense games! We played flip cup, waterfall, and water pong... all with water! Lauren and Shannon Engle even got in on the fun! It was awesome and got us all to get our adrenaline pumping! I love all of my friends very much, and I'm glad this summer has already proven to be the best one of my entire life!

Day 8: Getting Together

I got to sleep in SO late today, which was amazing. When I finally got up, I went to Chick-fil-a with Mark for lunch, then went over to his house and hung out for a little bit. At night, my family along with many others went over to the Cassani household to make our own pizzas. The entire island was filled with toppings, it was crazy awesome! After we designed our pizzas, Mr. Rick cooked them on the grill, which was different, but it was SO good. Definitely a fun way to get families together for dinner and some country music. :)

After I left the Cassani's, I went to my friend Richard's house because he is home for a day from his summer camp counselor job. It's been a long while since I've seen him-probably around two and a half weeks-so it was very awesome to be reunited with one of my best friends :). I missed him a lot, so I'm glad I get to see him, even if it is just a 24 hour break. We watched "The Illusionist", which I have never seen before, and it was actually a great movie. It was pretty short though... a rarity in movies these days.

Day 7: Fútbol and Food!

I woke up at Erin's today with Victoria and Erin, and we woke up early to watch the first game of the 2010 World Cup; Mexico vs. South Africa. The game ended up in a tie, but the game was very fun to watch. It was an exciting introduction into what I know is going to be a lively, soccer-fan-filled summer. When I left Erin's, I watched CSI (my favorite show) with my brother while I painted a picture frame. :) Then Erin came back over and we wound up going to Juan's house to hang out with him and Stephen for a little bit, until Juan had to go to work. When we all left, Erin and I went to Whataburger and then the dollar store. The dollar store doesn't seem to fun, but it was definitely an exciting trip for us! :) Now I'm sitting home at my house with my entire family! My mom, dad, and sister Diane are all back home as well now from their trip to Mexico and we are having family bonding over some Pei Wei with the Cassani's.

Day 6: Homeward Bound

Today I finally got to return home from Laredo to my lovely home in Sugar Land, TX. The trip home was a bit long, as always, but bearable from all the stops. In fact, we stopped at one of the biggest Buccee's in existence. When we were there, there was literally Buccee's stuff EVERYWHERE. T-shirts, cups, bumperstickers, you name it and they had it. Especially these really creepy Buccee's Beaver keychain stuffed animals.
When I got home, I got to hang out with a few friends for a while; Erin, Mark, Victoria, Erica, and Jake. At first we were all at my house, eating pizza and planning our summer adventures to come. But soon my grandparents said they needed some rest for the next morning, so we went to Erin's house (where I currently am writing this blog from). It was fun catching up with my friends, playing Truth or Dare Jenga, and having Mark and Jake try to show off their muscles. Victoria and I are sleeping over at Erin's house tonight, so it's bound to be a fun night with the girls. :)

Day 5: Gladiator

My grandpa is definitely more hardcore than people would think. He is an veteran of the U.S. airforce, and a collector of all things dangerous. He and my brother went out shooting today, using probably all of the ten or so guns he owns. When they got home, they were putting everything away and my grandpa decides to give my brother and I a glimpse of every other weapon he has stored away in this house, including the sword used in the movie "Braveheart". It was crazy, he probably pulled out 15 swords total, not including the other toys like ninja stars and whatnot. It was crazy to see how much he had, my brother and I thought it was a very cool collection. In fact, the helmet I'm wearing in the picture is the actual helmet from the movie "Gladiator" that Russell Crowe wore. After taking this picture with the helmet and real sword, my grandpa asked my brother and I if we had even seen the movie. We both had never seen it, so of course my grandpa popped it in. I'm not going to lie, it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. It was very inspiring and I even cried at the end. If you haven't seen this movie, it's a must see. I promise you will love it!

Day 4: Roof Climbers and Treehuggers

Today I read, a LOT. My favorite author is Harlan Coben, an author my parents showed me. In the past 48 hours i've had this book, I've already read to page 328. I definitely suggest reading his books, they are phenomenal! Anyways, at one point i decided to read outside because my grandparents have balconies upstairs and downstairs. I decided to go up to the upstairs one day, and my dog, Tucker, decided to follow. I went inside for a split second to get him a pillow to lay on, and when I came outside, he was gone! I was terrified, the worst possible scenario popped into my head, that he went through the banisters and fell of the cliff. I screamed his name but couldn't find him, so I decided to get Michael to help my search. After about two minutes, I realized that the upper balcony was roof accessible, and I sprinted to the end where you could get on the roof, and you can only guess what I found. Tucker was sitting there right on the roof! He is a very awesome dog and I love him, but sometimes he is just a little too curious!

I was also an ecologist today :) My grandpa, grandma, brother and I all went canoeing down the creek near my grandparents' house and picked up trash along the riverbanks. At first, Michael and I were very reluctant, thinking it would be hot and disgusting. But it turns out that we had a great time, it was very calm and cool. It made me really appreciate nature, seeing all the wildlife that lived there, it opened my eyes to the fact that we aren't the only inhabitants on this earth, there are others that need our help cleaning up our messes. It was a great way to bond with the family, and we were being proactive while hanging out.

Day 3: The Enchiladas

Today I definitely learned where I get my stubbornness from, my grandpa. The whole day we spent planning, buying, and making stuff to create our very own homemade beef enchiladas. Since the day my grandpa built his add-on kitchen, he has been waiting for this day. My grandparents, Michael, and I first made a list of things to buy, then made a journey to HEB (where my grandpa thinks everything is necessary to buy). Once we got home, my grandma, brother and I got to work. My grandpa stood by making sure everything was perfect, trying to change our course of cooking to fit his fancy. Finally we sent him out because he was being a little too bossy :) Once we finished, he said there wasn't enough cheese! I laughed at him and he returned with dumping the ENTIRE bag of cheese on top! It was hilarious because he is the kindest man ever, but he definitely likes his cheese! It was a very fun family activity to cook and create something together, and the end product was fantastic.

After dinner, my brother and I took out the 4-wheeler and drove out to a place near our grandparents' house called "Lover's Leap". There's a fence that is about two feet from the cliff, that I am standing on, so it was pretty scary! I'm not sure any "lovers" have ever actually jumped from this cliff, but it's a very pretty sight to see.

Day 2: Road Trip

Today, my brother Michael and I left our house to go to our grandparents' house in Laredo, TX. We've made the trip hundreds of times, but today was the silliest trip we've ever had! We made all sorts of random, weird stops and each time was extremely funny! The first picture I have is of me in a random country store where my grandpa loves to buy danishes, and there just so happened to be puppets and some of the biggest gummy worms I've ever seen, they were as long as one of my legs! The second picture is of my grandpa, Papu with some corn in his hands. He insisted that my grandma stop driving so that he could "take a look" at the corn on the side of the road, and then he wound up taking some fresh from the stalks! Michael and I couldn't stop laughing, it was the funniest thing I've ever seen my grandpa do. He said, "it's part of nature, and nature is free." Needless to say, it was the most fun road trip I've ever had with my grandparents!

Day 1: Graduation Party

Okay so the point of this blog is to remember my senior year - ALL of it - So I wanted to remember each day, until the day I graduate! I graduate June 4, 2011; so I know this isn't technically the right day, but the night was too crazy to post any earlier! Tonight was Diane and Sarah's graduation party (at our house) and it was awesome! Plenty of people came over for good food, friends, and celebrating the 2010 seniors. I was very happy to see Diane and Sarah be honored for all the hard work they've done and I'm so proud of them. It got pretty crazy with all the family and friends, and it was definitely and all around great time. I'm so proud of the seniors and I love them very much. Congrats guys!
